Semmelknödel auf Linsen
Zwei Portionen
Knödel :
- 350g etwas trocken gewordenes Brot
- 200ml Pflanzenmilch
- 1 EL Maisstärke
- 1 EL Petersilie
- 1 TL Suppenwürze, optional
- Salz, Pfeffer
Linsen :
Bread-Dumplings with Lentils
serves two
dumplings :
- 350g bread, a bit dried out
- 200ml of plant-based milk
- 1 tbs. corn starch
- 1 tbs. parsley
- 1 tsp. broth powder, opt.
- salt, pepper
lentils :
- 1 can lentils, or as much as you want, not fully rinsed
- half of an onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. broth powder
- marjoram
Put all the ingredients for the lentils in a pot, bring it to a boil and let it simmer until the dumplings are done. Meanwhile mash up all that stuff for the dumplings, put it in a clean kitchen towel or aluminium foil and wrap it tightly around the raw mass.
Heat up a big water filled pot and cook the towel-wrapped dumpling-thing until it feels firm enough to eat (15-20 min.).
If you want real dumplings form pieces of the raw mass into balls and put them in boiling water. After they’re done you can also roast them in a pan. You can also use whole wheat bread for this. Should the lentils got to dry, just add water.
